This style of desk folds neatly into the inner frame of the Murphy bed, allowing it to be completely hidden when not in use. When folded away, the desk is designed to blend seamlessly into the face of the Murphy bed, appearing as part of the doors and drawers.
All Murphy beds with an Inset Desk use the Create-A-Bed piston mechanism.
NOTE: Murphy beds with an Inset Desk are not available in King Size.
The desk is hinged into the face of the Murphy bed. To use it, the desk section pulls outward and folds down from the front of the bed, creating a full work surface. When the desk is no longer needed, it folds back up into the inner frame of the Murphy bed, where it is hidden and becomes part of the finished face design.
