New Yorker 137-0423

Style 137-0423 is a custom Queen New Yorker Murphy bed designed to combine a comfortable guest bed, full home office, and organized storage into one attractive wall unit. Built from paint-grade Maple and finished in a clean White Lacquer, this Murphy bed features the detailed paneling and traditional furniture styling of our New Yorker collection, accented with oil-rubbed bronze hardware.

At the center is a piston-operated Queen Murphy bed paired with a New Yorker-style single-fold desk. The approximately 52 1/2″ desk creates a generous work surface when the bed is closed, making this design especially well suited for a home office that also needs to function as a guest bedroom. When it is time for overnight guests, the desk folds away and the Queen bed opens into the room.

Matching bookcases on both sides provide a combination of open display shelving, enclosed storage, and specialized office features. This custom configuration includes four file drawers, a printer pullout on the left side, and white charging stations in both bookcases. The bookcase design was also customized by raising the lower and middle sections to accommodate the file drawers and base molding.

Integrated lighting adds both function and atmosphere. LED lighting is built into the bookcases, while outset LED Murphy bed lights illuminate the bed area. A second silver touch plate provides convenient lighting control.

Charging and wire management were also incorporated into the design. In addition to the bookcase charging stations, a charging station is built into the base beneath the desk, helping keep laptops, phones, and other devices powered without cluttering the workspace. The bookcase interiors also include wire-management openings for connected equipment.

Finished with our Standard Crown Molding and Standard Base Molding, Style 137-0423 is a versatile custom Murphy bed system that turns one room into a polished home office, guest bedroom, filing and storage center without sacrificing floor space or furniture-quality styling.
