Style 138-0124 is a custom queen-size Murphy bed designed to combine a comfortable guest bed, a large home-office workspace, and built-in storage into one highly functional wall unit. Built from Painted Maple and finished in a clean White Lacquer, this Murphy bed features our Christy face, Mission crown, and Mission base, giving the cabinetry a classic built-in appearance when the bed is closed. One of the most useful features of this design is the Double Fold Inset Desk. The oversized work surface folds into the face of the Murphy bed when not in use, allowing the room to transition from a spacious home office to a bedroom without requiring a separate desk. A flush-mounted side bookcase adds additional storage and functionality. Inside is a printer pullout, making it easy to keep a printer accessible while hiding it behind the cabinet door when not needed. The bookcase also includes an integrated charging station, providing convenient access to power and USB charging for electronics. Lighting was incorporated throughout the design. White-frame Outset LED lights illuminate the main Murphy bed area, while additional LED lighting inside the bookcase is controlled by a door switch, automatically providing light when the cabinet is opened. Nelson Proof Revision 2

To take advantage of the room’s ceiling height, an 18″ high upper bookcase with doors was added above the Murphy bed. This additional enclosed storage brings the complete unit to approximately 105 7/8″ tall, helping the cabinetry achieve a more substantial, built-in appearance while providing valuable storage for items that do not need to be accessed every day. The installation was also designed around the room itself. The Murphy bed cabinet sits flush against the back wall, while the bookcase is spaced slightly away from the wall to provide room for electrical wiring. A base-molding cutout was incorporated into the cabinetry to help the unit fit neatly against the existing trim. Nelson Proof Revision 2
