FLW Inset Desk Murphy Bed 134-0426

Style 134-0426 is a custom queen Murphy bed with desk designed to turn one room into both a functional home office and a comfortable guest room. Built from Maple and finished in a clean White Lacquer, this wall bed features a distinctive Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired face design with geometric panel detailing carried throughout the bed and desk. The contemporary white finish is accented with 16″ nickel bar pulls for a crisp, architectural appearance.

The integrated single-fold inset desk provides a generous work surface while maintaining the cohesive panel design of the Murphy bed. When it is time for guests, the queen bed folds down to transform the space from office to bedroom. Narrow inset bookcases are built into both sides of the bed, adding convenient display and storage space without increasing the overall footprint with traditional flanking bookcases.

Each inset bookcase includes its own LED lighting with a white frame, and the lights on each side are independently operated. Both sides also feature built-in charging stations along with individual touch switches for the bookcase lighting, keeping power convenient for phones, tablets, and other devices. The drawing packet further specifies that each bookcase light has its own switch, allowing the two sides to be controlled separately.

A 7″ base molding cutout is incorporated into the Murphy bed cabinet so the unit can accommodate the room’s existing baseboard molding and sit properly against the wall.
