The Christy Double Fold Desk Murphy Bed features a classic Shaker-style face with a large built-in desk that folds neatly into the bed when opened. On a queen-size model, the desk is approximately 83″ long, creating a generous workspace while keeping the room flexible for both office and guest use.
The Christy Double Fold Desk Murphy Bed combines a traditional cabinet-style Murphy bed face with an exceptionally large built-in workspace. When closed, the Christy face features clean Shaker-style panels that give the Murphy bed the appearance of custom cabinetry rather than a bed. The Double Fold Desk is incorporated directly into the face, allowing the room to function as a spacious home office while keeping the bed completely hidden.
On a queen-size Christy, the Double Fold Desk is approximately 83″ long, providing considerably more workspace than a standard Murphy bed desk. The desktop folds in half as the bed is opened, allowing the desk to store neatly within the Murphy bed face. When the bed is closed again, the desk unfolds to create a large work surface suitable for computers, paperwork, crafts, or multiple workstations.
Please Note: Our Double Fold Desk Murphy beds include a larger, more substantial desk system, which adds additional weight to the Murphy bed face. While most of our Murphy beds are designed to be nearly counterbalanced, the Double Fold Desk models require a little more lifting effort. On average, approximately 25 lbs. of lifting force is needed to raise the bed.
