Built in maple and finished in Sherwin-Williams 7062 Rock Bottom, this wall bed has a deep charcoal look that pairs well with the Dark Walnut stained maple desktop. Templeton Face Style

The Templeton face is defined by four shaker-style doors across the front of the Murphy bed. On this design, the face is finished with 16″ custom black bar pulls, while the rest of the cabinetry uses 6″ black bar pulls. The black hardware blends naturally with the dark finish and gives the entire unit a clean, modern look without losing the traditional detail of the shaker-style face.

Stay Level Desk with Triple Monitor Setup

This Murphy bed includes our Stay Level Desk, allowing the room to transition from office to bedroom without completely clearing the desktop. The desk remains level as the bed opens and closes, making this a strong option for a dual-purpose home office and guest room. The desk mechanism is black, and the desktop is stained Dark Walnut on maple for contrast against the Rock Bottom painted cabinetry.

Charging Stations

This build includes multiple charging options to support both office and bedroom use. A black charging station is located under the desk, making it easy to plug in devices while working. The inside 3″ headboard also includes a black charging station, keeping power access close when the bed is open. The bookcases include their own black charging station as well, giving the customer convenient power access throughout the unit.

Lighting

The bed includes Outset LED lights with black frames, along with matching bookcase LED lights. These lights help illuminate the desk in office mode and provide useful lighting when the bed is open. This design also includes a second touch plate for the lights, with one control located at the headboard and the other positioned for use when the bed is closed in office mode.

Side Bookcases and Storage

The side bookcases add storage and display space while helping the Murphy bed feel like a complete built-in wall unit. Both sides include open shelving, a soft-close mid-section door, and lower storage drawers. The left side includes three standard soft-close drawers, while the right side includes two standard soft-close drawers. The bookcases also include LED lighting and charging access, making them practical as well as decorative.

Crown, Base, and Installation Details

To finish the built-in look, this Murphy bed includes a Large Crown across the top and a Mission Base along the bottom. The drawing packet also notes a 6″ high base molding cutout, allowing the bed to sit properly against the wall while accounting for the room’s existing base molding. The bed section is designed to sit flush with the back wall, while the bookcases are set away from the wall slightly to help with fit and wire access.
