This custom Queen Murphy bed with desk and bookcases combines traditional furniture styling with a highly functional home office and guest room design. Style 1216-0426 is built from Cherry wood and finished in a rich Jacobean stain, accented with 6″ oil-rubbed bronze bar pulls. The Murphy bed features our Bullock face, designed with an elegant 4-by-2 arrangement of arched panels, along with Standard Crown and Standard Base Molding for a finished, built-in appearance.
A Stay Level Desk with a black desk mechanism spans the front of the Murphy bed, allowing the space to function as a comfortable home office when the bed is closed. When it’s time for guests, the Murphy bed opens into a Queen-size sleeping area with a stained wood back above the headboard, maintaining the furniture-quality look even when the bed is in use.
Matching side bookcases add extensive storage and organization. Each side includes a mid-door storage section, a standard upper drawer, and a legal-size file drawer below. All doors and drawers feature soft-close hardware. Convenient pullout drink trays provide bedside surfaces when the Murphy bed is open, while built-in black charging stations on both sides make it easy to keep phones, tablets, and other electronics powered.
Integrated lighting adds another level of functionality and display. The design includes outset LED lights above the Murphy bed plus LED lighting in both bookcases, all finished with black frames. The upper shelf in each bookcase is glass with wood trim along the front, allowing the lighting to highlight decorative items while coordinating with the surrounding Cherry cabinetry. A second touch switch is included in addition to the light control located at the headboard.
