Templeton Murphy bed Style 113-0126

Style #113-0126 is a custom King Murphy bed that combines the clean, furniture-style appearance of our Templeton design with the warmth and character of stained Red Oak. When closed, the four tall recessed face panels give the wall bed the appearance of a substantial built-in cabinet rather than a traditional bed, making it an attractive space-saving solution for a bedroom, guest room, or multipurpose space.

This Murphy bed is constructed from Red Oak and finished in a rich Dark Walnut stain, allowing the natural grain and variation of the wood to remain a prominent part of the design. The face is accented with 16″ Oil Rubbed Bronze bar pulls, creating a dark, understated contrast against the stained oak.

The cabinet features our Templeton face, characterized by four long framed panels that create a clean, traditional furniture look. A Mission Crown and Mission Base complete the design and add architectural detail to the top and bottom of the Murphy bed.

Designed for a King-size mattress, this custom Murphy bed measures approximately 83″ wide, 91″ high, and 16 3/4″ deep when closed, as shown in the main drawing on page 3. When opened, the bed provides a full-size sleeping area while allowing the room to regain valuable floor space whenever the bed is stored away.

A wood headboard extends across the back of the open Murphy bed, giving the sleeping area a finished, furniture-quality appearance rather than exposing the lower wall. The cabinet was also designed with a 6″ high base molding cutout, allowing it to fit more cleanly against the room’s existing baseboard molding.

With its King-size sleeping capacity, Dark Walnut Red Oak finish, traditional Templeton panel design, and compact wall-bed configuration, Murphy Bed Style #113-0126 provides a practical way to add a comfortable guest bed without permanently dedicating the room to sleeping space.
