Monitor Murphy Bed 123-0825

This custom full size TV Murphy Bed is designed to make one room work as a bedroom, home office, entertainment space, and storage wall all in one. The bed features a modified Templeton face, adjusted to work with a customer-supplied 55″ Frame TV. When the bed is closed, the room functions as a built-in desk and media center. When the bed is opened, it quickly converts into a comfortable guest bedroom.

The finish on this Murphy bed is Behr Dragonfly, paired with Minwax Classic Gray accents. The soft green-blue painted cabinetry gives the unit a custom built-in look, while the Classic Gray desk surface adds a warm contrast. Nickel bar pulls complete the design, with 16″ pulls on the large bookcase doors and 6″ pulls throughout the rest of the unit.

Stay Level Desk with Keyboard Tray

The Stay Level Desk is one of the most practical features of this design. The desk stays level as the Murphy bed transitions from the office position to the bed position, so the workspace does not have to be completely cleared each time the bed is used.

This version also includes two desk drawers and a keyboard tray, making it a strong option for a daily-use home office. The desk provides a large work surface while still allowing the room to transform into a guest bedroom when needed.

Built-In TV Design

The Templeton face was adjusted around the TV opening, allowing the 55″ Frame TV to remain visible and usable when the bed is closed. This makes the Murphy bed feel more like a built-in media wall instead of just a hidden bed. The TV is positioned above the desk area, creating a clean workstation and entertainment setup in one unit.

Lighting and Charging

This Murphy bed includes black-frame outset LED lights, along with bookcase lights on both sides. The lighting is useful in both positions: it helps illuminate the desk when the bed is closed and works as bedroom lighting when the bed is open.

Charging was also built into several areas of the design. The unit includes a black charging station under the desk, a black charging station in the 3″ headboard, a charging station behind the printer area, and black charging stations in all four upper bookcase sections. These outlets make it easy to charge laptops, phones, tablets, printers, and other devices without adding clutter.

3″ Headboard

The inside of the bed includes a 3″ headboard with a black charging station. This gives guests a convenient place to charge devices while using the bed. It also gives the open bed a more finished look compared to a flat headboard.

Bookcases and Storage

The side bookcases were designed for a mix of office storage, display space, and hidden storage. The left side includes an upper door section with adjustable shelves, along with a printer pullout and a black charging station behind the printer. The right side includes an upper door section with a hanging rod and one removable or adjustable shelf.

Both sides include pullout drink trays, making the open bed more functional as a guest space. Each side also includes two standard drawers for storage. Across the top, the 13″ upper bookcases add additional display and storage space, with lighting and charging stations built into all four sections.

A True Multi-Use Murphy Bed
