This custom Monitor Desk Murphy Bed was designed to turn one room into a fully functional home office and guest bedroom. When closed, the unit works as a built-in desk system with dual computer monitors, storage, lighting, and matching side cabinets. When guests arrive, the Murphy bed opens to create a comfortable sleeping space without giving up the everyday use of the room.

Face Style

This Murphy bed has a clean, professional cabinet face with four false doors above the monitor area. The simple door layout gives the unit the look of a built-in office cabinet while hiding the bed system behind the front face.

Desk Style

The Stay Level Desk allows the desk surface to remain level as the bed transitions from office position to bed position. This makes it easier to switch between work and sleep without completely clearing the desk. The desk includes two storage drawers and a center pull-out keyboard tray, making it a practical workstation for everyday use.

A built-in charging station is mounted below the desk and includes two standard outlets, one USB-A port, and one USB-C fast-charge port. Wire access from the desktop helps keep cords routed neatly for the monitors and other office equipment.

Monitor Setup

The dual monitor design makes this Murphy bed ideal for a serious home office. The monitors are mounted directly to the bed face, allowing the room to function as a dedicated workspace while still having a hidden guest bed available when needed.

Lights

Outset lights are mounted on the Murphy bed and can be controlled from two locations. In the office position, the lights provide task lighting for the desk area. When the bed is open, they work as convenient reading lights. The bookcase lighting is tied into the same control system for a clean and coordinated setup.

Headboard

The upgraded 3-inch headboard includes a built-in charging station and touch light controls. The charging station features two standard outlets, one USB-A port, and one USB-C fast-charge port, giving guests convenient bedside power for phones, tablets, and other devices.

Bookcases and Storage

The matching 27-inch bookcases add a large amount of storage on both sides of the Murphy bed. They include adjustable shelves, glass shelves that allow the lighting to shine through, raised panel mid-doors, and file drawers at the bottom. The glass shelves are finished with matching wood trim on the front edge for a more refined, furniture-grade look.

Finish

This Murphy bed features a bold two-tone finish with our stock Black Lacquer paired with Dark Walnut accents on Maple wood. The contrast gives the piece a modern, professional appearance that works especially well in a home office setting.
