Bullock Murphy bed with desk 1118-0923

This custom Queen Murphy bed combines a full-size wall bed, home office desk, built-in storage, and display shelving into one space-saving furniture unit. Style 1118-0923 features our Bullock face, a classic raised-panel Murphy bed design with tall arched panels that give the closed bed the look of custom built-in cabinetry.

Built from Painted Maple and finished in White Lacquer, this Murphy bed has a clean, bright look that works well in a bedroom, guest room, office, or multipurpose space. The large crown molding and standard base molding give the unit a finished built-in appearance, while the oil rubbed bronze knobs and 6″ oil rubbed bronze drawer pulls add contrast to the white finish.

On the left side, this Murphy bed includes a corner desk and hutch with upper storage, open display shelving, and standard drawers below. The desk area is designed to create a practical home office setup while still keeping the Murphy bed ready for overnight guests. The white hutch supports remain visible above the desk, with the wall showing through behind them for a lighter, more open look.

The bed section includes Outset LED lights with a white frame, positioned to provide useful lighting when the Murphy bed is open. A second light touch plate with a silver plate is located in the right bookcase area for convenient control.

To the right of the Murphy bed is a 16″ wide bookcase with open shelves, a lower door, and one adjustable shelf behind the door. This side cabinet also includes a white charging station / outlet area, making it useful for phones, tablets, lamps, or other bedside items.

A unique feature of this design is the single inset bookcase on the right side. Most Murphy bed designs with inset bookcases include one on each side, but this customer chose to include only one. An inset bookcase is a bookcase turned inward toward the bed opening, so it is accessed from inside the Murphy bed area when the bed is open. It creates a built-in bedside storage area without adding extra width to the outside of the furniture wall.

The result is a custom Murphy bed with desk, hutch, bookcase storage, LED lighting, charging station, and inset bookcase, all built into one clean white wall bed unit. It is a great example of how a Murphy bed can turn one room into both a comfortable guest room and a functional home office.
