Short Manhattan with Desk 122-0124b

Create a home office that welcomes overnight guests with this custom walnut queen Murphy bed. Style 122-0124b combines our clean, two-panel Manhattan face with a Stay Level Desk, a matching corner workspace, and practical storage. A clear coat finish highlights the walnut’s rich grain and natural character.

Reduced Height for Lower Ceilings

We reduced the height by 3″ by eliminating the visible header.  When closed you’ll notice the face is the all you see at the top. The header is thin and tucked away behind the face.  Another way to reduce the height is the lower the height of the bed when open.  This would lower it another 2″ but the desk would not be able to be added.

The desk across the Murphy bed face provides a convenient workspace when the bed is closed and stays level as the bed opens. A separate L-shaped corner desk extends along the right wall, creating a second work area that remains available while the queen bed is in use.

A narrow bookcase on the left offers open shelves for books and display pieces, three lower drawers, and a pullout drink tray beside the open bed. Matching drawer pedestals support the corner workspace, while deep file drawers organize hanging folders and office paperwork.

Black charging stations in the bookcase and beneath the bed’s desk keep power within easy reach. Inset LED lights with black frames illuminate the bed interior. Oil-rubbed bronze bar pulls complete the design, with 16-inch pulls on the Murphy bed face and coordinating 6-inch pulls elsewhere.

Designed to accommodate a lower ceiling, this configuration eliminates the exposed header above the bed face. Custom scribe and trim help finish the installation along the wall.

Whether you need a guest room that doubles as an office or a dedicated workspace with a comfortable queen bed, this walnut Murphy bed brings sleeping, working, and storage together. Contact WWBeds Custom Furniture to customize the wood, finish, storage, and desk layout for your room.
