New Yorker Murphy Bed 137-1223

Style 137-1223 is a custom queen-size New Yorker Murphy bed with integrated desk and side bookcase storage, designed to turn one room into a comfortable bedroom, home office, and organized storage space. Built from painted Maple and finished in Sherwin-Williams White Heron SW 7627, this Murphy bed has a bright, traditional look accented with 3″ nickel center pulls.

The Murphy bed features our New Yorker face style, along with Standard Crown Molding and Standard Base Molding for a furniture-style built-in appearance. The cabinet uses substantial 1-1/2″ thick verticals and includes an integrated dry-erase whiteboard, allowing the room to function as a practical workspace when the bed is closed.

Matching 20″ side bookcases provide concealed storage and include two standard drawers on each side. Both bookcases are equipped with white charging stations, giving convenient access to power for phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices. The enclosed bookcases also feature LED lighting with white frames, with switches designed to activate when the cabinet doors are opened.

Additional inset LED lighting illuminates the bed area, while pull-out drink trays on each side create a convenient bedside surface when the Murphy bed is open. The drawing packet also shows the bookcases positioned slightly away from the back wall to provide room for wiring, along with a base molding cutout to help accommodate the room’s existing trim.

The complete unit measures approximately 111-3/8″ wide × 87-7/8″ high, with an approximately 13-7/8″ cabinet depth. When opened, the queen Murphy bed projects approximately 87″ into the room.
