Shaker Style Hudson Bay with Fold Up Desk

Transform your space with this Custom Shaker Murphy Bed with Fold-Up Desk, a versatile furniture design that combines a comfortable queen-size bed with a spacious home office workstation. Built by WWBeds Custom Furniture, this Murphy bed provides a practical way to turn a guest bedroom, home office, or multipurpose room into two functional spaces without sacrificing style.

Crafted from Paint-Grade Maple and finished in a custom-matched soft pink color, this queen Murphy bed features traditional Shaker-style face molding with a clean, contemporary appearance. The design incorporates Flat Contemporary top and base moldings, creating a streamlined look that complements both modern and traditional interiors.

Spacious Fold-Up Desk

One of the standout features of this Murphy bed is its Fold-Up Desk, which provides a generous workspace without requiring a permanent desk in the room.

Measuring approximately 52-3/4″ wide by 43″ deep, the desk offers plenty of room for a laptop, computer monitors, paperwork, and other office essentials.

When it’s time to reclaim your floor space, the desktop folds upward against the front of the Murphy bed and latches securely into place. This allows you to enjoy a large, functional desk during the day while keeping the room open and spacious when the desk isn’t needed.

The desktop features a Natural Maple wood surface, creating an attractive two-tone contrast against the painted Murphy bed cabinet. A rectangular support leg provides stability while the desk is in use and folds away with the desk when stored.

Unlike a traditional stationary desk, this fold-up design makes it easy to transition between a home office, guest bedroom, and open living space.

Comfortable Queen-Size Murphy Bed

Behind the custom Shaker-style cabinet is a comfortable queen-size Murphy bed that folds down when needed and stores vertically when not in use.

This particular Murphy bed was customized with additional cabinet depth to accommodate a thicker mattress and a deeper headboard.

When the bed is closed, the decorative cabinet face blends into the room’s furniture. When opened, it creates a welcoming sleeping area for overnight guests.

Integrated Lighting and Charging Stations

This custom Murphy bed includes several convenience features designed to make everyday use easier.

• Integrated LED Lighting: Two overhead lights provide convenient illumination when the Murphy bed is open.
• Headboard Charging Station: A white charging station is built into the 3″ headboard, keeping electrical connections within easy reach while in bed.
• Side Charging Stations: Additional white outlets with USB charging connections are installed near the base on both sides of the Murphy bed.
• Convenient Light Controls: A touch plate near the headboard allows easy access to the integrated lighting.

These features help create a comfortable guest sleeping area while providing convenient charging options for electronic devices.

Custom Shaker-Style Cabinet Design

This Murphy bed features a distinctive Shaker-style face with decorative recessed-panel detailing. Its clean cabinet design is complemented by Flat Contemporary crown and base moldings that wrap around the sides.

Custom brass-colored latches secure the folding desk when stored, while the absence of traditional drawer pulls helps maintain the bed’s uncluttered appearance.

The Natural Maple desktop adds warmth and contrast to the painted cabinet, giving the unit a unique two-tone furniture design.
