This custom Murphy bed with desk by WWBeds Custom Furniture is designed to turn one room into two. With the bed closed, it functions as a comfortable home office. When it is time for guests, the Murphy bed opens to create a convenient sleeping space without giving up the room’s everyday purpose.

The face style on this Murphy bed is our Templeton, which is characterized by four shaker-style doors across the front. The clean door design gives the unit a timeless look that works well in a home office, guest bedroom, craft room, or multi-purpose space.

One of the most practical features on this build is the Stay Level Desk. The desk remains level as the Murphy bed transitions from the closed office position to the open bed position. This means you do not have to completely clear the desktop every time the bed is used, making it much easier to switch between work mode and guest room mode.

A charging station was also added beneath the desk for convenient power access. Wires can be fed from the top of the desk down to the outlet area, helping keep the workspace cleaner and more organized. The charging station includes two standard plugs, one USB-A port, and one USB-C fast-charge port.

This unit also includes Outset Lights, which are mounted on the exterior of the Murphy bed cabinet. These lights are controlled from two locations: from the side of the cabinet when the unit is being used as an office, and from the headboard when the bed is open. In the office position, the lights shine down on the desk surface. When the bed is open, they work well as reading lights. The bookcase lights are tied into the same control system, allowing the lighting throughout the unit to work together.

On each side of the Murphy bed are 28 1/2” wide bookcases with open shelving at the top for books, décor, and display items. The lower sections include a pullout drink tray and two standard drawers, adding convenient storage and a useful bedside surface when the bed is open.

This Murphy bed is finished in our popular White Lacquer, one of our stock finishes. The clean white finish gives the piece a bright, classic look while keeping the overall design simple and versatile.
