This Hudson Bay Murphy Bed is designed for rooms that need to work harder without sacrificing style. Built in a king size configuration, this model pairs a classic furniture look with smart space-saving function—perfect for guest rooms, home offices, or multi-use spaces.

Hudson Bay Face

The Hudson Bay face is defined by its picture-frame style molding, creating a traditional cabinet appearance when the bed is closed. With the fold-up desk design, the molding also helps visually conceal the desk, keeping the room clean and uncluttered.

Fold-Up Desk

The fold-up desk stores directly against the face of the bed, freeing up valuable floor space when the desk or bed isn’t in use. This design allows the room to quickly shift between office and bedroom without permanently giving up space.

Outset Lighting

Integrated outset lights provide flexible lighting in both positions. Controls are located at the headboard when the bed is open and on the side when in office mode. The lights function as task lighting for the desk and reading lights for the bed, with bookcase lighting tied into the same system.

3” Headboard with Charging Station

The headboard was upgraded from a flat panel to a 3” thick headboard that includes a built-in charging station. This setup features two standard outlets, USB-A, and USB-C fast charging, along with a touch switch for the lighting. Because this unit uses a piston-style mechanism, the cabinet depth was increased by 2 1/4” to accommodate the thicker headboard.

Custom Bookcases

The side bookcases are 20” wide and designed for both storage and daily use. Each includes shelving behind a door at the top, two file drawers below, and a pull-out drink tray. Matching Hudson Bay trim is carried through to keep the entire piece cohesive.

This bed is built from maple and finished in a custom Honey color, highlighting the natural grain while adding warmth to the space.
