Entertainment Center Murphy bed 1616-1226

This custom Murphy bed is designed to look and function like a complete entertainment center when closed, blending naturally into the room while providing serious space-saving capability.

The horizontal, sideways layout allows the bed to sit discreetly behind a 65″ Samsung TV and matching sound bar, making it an ideal solution for multipurpose rooms, guest spaces, or media rooms. When the bed is closed, the TV and components remain fully powered and ready for use. When it’s time for guests, the unit easily transforms into a comfortable sleeping area with smart, practical features built in.

Lighting was carefully planned for both convenience and style. Five accent lights run across the top of the cabinet, with three additional lights inside the bed area. These are controlled by two touch switches—one on the headboard and one on the side cabinets—so light is always within reach. A built-in safety switch automatically cuts power when the bed is closed for added peace of mind.

Since this is a horizontal Murphy bed, we included a removable headboard that installs only when the bed is open. This keeps pillows neatly in place and adds comfort without interfering when the bed is stored.

The 16″ deep side cabinets provide valuable storage and everyday functionality. Each side includes adjustable upper shelving, a built-in charging station, and two lower drawers—perfect for electronics, bedding, or general storage.

The entire unit is finished in a crisp white lacquer on maple wood, accented with black hardware, light frames, and outlets for a clean, modern contrast. Like every piece we build, this Murphy bed is constructed with premium materials, including maple plywood. No particle board. No melamine. Just solid craftsmanship designed to last for years.
