The Monitor Desk Murphy Bed is designed for spaces that need to work harder without looking like they do. When closed, it functions as a fully equipped home office with monitors mounted directly to the face. When opened, it transitions smoothly into a comfortable guest bed—no major rearranging required. This version is shown with an Apple Studio Display, but other monitor options can be accommodated. The contemporary two-panel face matches the clean, modern look associated with the Manhattan style.

Stay Level Desk
The stay level desk remains perfectly horizontal as the bed opens and closes, allowing you to leave most items in place during the transition. Three pencil drawers provide everyday storage, while a built-in charging station under the desk keeps power accessible. Wires can be routed cleanly from the desktop to the outlet, which includes two standard plugs, a USB-A, and a USB-C fast charge port.

Monitor-Mounted Face
Monitors are securely mounted to the front of the unit, creating a streamlined workstation when the bed is closed. This design keeps the workspace efficient and visually clean, making it ideal for rooms that need to function as both a home office and guest bedroom.

Outset Lighting
Outset lights are positioned to support both room configurations. Controls are located at the headboard when in bed mode and on the side when in office mode. In the closed position, the lights illuminate the desk area; when open, they serve as comfortable reading lights. Lighting inside the bookcases is activated at the same time for a consistent look.

3” Headboard with Charging Station
The headboard is upgraded from a flat panel to a 3-inch profile, adding depth and functionality. Along with a touch switch for the lights, the headboard includes a charging station with two standard outlets, a USB-A, and a USB-C fast charge.

Side Bookcases
Each side bookcase is 24 inches wide and designed for practical storage. The upper section features adjustable shelving behind doors, with interior lights that automatically turn on when the doors are opened. The lower section includes one file drawer, one standard drawer, and a pullout tray for added convenience.
