Hudson Bay

This piece is designed to resemble eight doors on a cabinet. This is accomplished by using trim molding. This one is made form oak with a flat lacquer finish, but we can custom build this with any wood and finish (see FAQ on finishes). Finishing oak in a flat lacquer gives this piece a real nice texture. The crown molding and base molding add a lot of character to this piece.

These units do break down to vary manageable units, but are still too large for UPS. We do ship on large freight lines to your house. You will be responsible for getting it in the house. We will ship to anywhere in the Continental United States to your front door for $299. Some restrictions apply. Request a quote for more information and exact shipping charges.

When you receive you items. Check all boxes for damage and MAKE SURE TO NOTE ON FREIGHT BILL if there is any. We will help you with filing damage claims.

We take all major credit cards and money orders. Since these beds are custom built our payment options are as follows:

20% down for scheduling.
50% due before actual build starts
Balance due upon shipping, delivery, or pick-up.
If paying with credit card, we only require 20% down to schedule your furniture.

Spriggs' Hudson Bay Murphy beds two hudson bay murphy beds

This is a pair of murphy beds that were built and shipped unfinished. They were completed in October 2009. What is unique about these are they are apart of the same unit. The two queen wall beds are separated by a 18" bookcase. The Hudson Bay as I call it is simply the Alpine with some added molding. I say simply but it's not that simple. There is 32 pieces, 64 in all that has to be cut and mitered on both ends. Each piece of molding is hand sanded, fit, attached, and sanded again. There is a lot of labor involved.

The overall width of this unit is 146" at the base and 148 1/2" (12', 4 1/2") at the crown. That's not bad though two beds and a bookcase in a little over 16 square foot of floor space.
